I believe the way to be successful is to do the greatest good for the greatest number. By developing the OC Housing News network of sites, I can give more attention to more properties, and in the process, serve more people.
I have spent a great deal of time developing a market report covering all of Orange County. In creating the report, I came to see what is not in the report is often as important as what is in the report. There is too much information about housing floating around the Internet, and most of it is bad. It is easy to take data and create pretty charts and graphs that don’t provide any useful information someone might use to make a good decision. The OC Housing News has eliminated the useless information and distilled the market down to three key pieces of information: (1) value relative to rental parity, (2) yearly change in resale prices, and (3) yearly changes in rental rates.
The posts on the various OC Housing News sites each have an individual property profile, but I often include the latest market report on that city for reference. The goal is to provide all the information a buyer might need to make an informed decision. In today’s market, that decision is often to rent, but with more properties reaching rental parity, many will chose to buy instead.
